About the Director
André Di Mauro has a multidisciplinary background that includes work as a director, writer, film editor, producer and actor. He has been working in the audiovisual area since the early 1990s. He was the creator of the first Cinema University of the City of Rio de Janeiro where he worked as Academic Director for ten years. André directed several short films and independent projects for television. In 2018, his short film, the documentary Moon Effect received the Best Documentary Short Film Award at the Canada Independent Film Festival. Also in 2018 he debuted his first feature film as director Humberto Mauro who made his world debut at the 75th Venice International Film Festival within the official selection of the Venezia Classici program where he was nominated for the Best Documentary Film Award.
